Pharmacy Services

The Pharmacy Service provides prescription and direct patient care services to all Veterans utilizing the VA Central Ohio Healthcare System.  We employee highly trained pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians to support these efforts.  With over 1,000 prescriptions filled on-site each day, the Pharmacy Service utilizes the award winning Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) mail-out pharmacy program for the virtually all of our refill prescription dispensing.

VA's My HealtheVet Program at

* Registered users can refill VA prescriptions online and view their prescription history.

* If you are a first time user, click the "REGISTER TODAY!" button at the right of the My HealtheVet home page. Enter personal information with your name as it appears on your VA ID card. Check "VA Patient" if you use VA health care. Read and "ACCEPT" the "My HealtheVet Terms & Conditions" and "Privacy Policy" at the bottom of the page. Click the red "Save" box. For assistance call the My HealtheVet Help Desk, toll free at 1-877-327-0022, Monday-Friday, 6 am to 6 pm (EST) or contact your local VA Medical Center and ask for the My HealtheVet coordinator.

Medication refills may be requested by mailing the computer refill notice that came with your most recent fill. Your request will be filled through our Pharmacy mail-out program.

Refill Policy

All Veterans are encouraged to refill their prescriptions by phone or Internet. Because of our patient workload, prescription refills are not filled at the Columbus VA ACC pharmacy window. They are mailed to the patient from CMOP.
To renew existing prescriptions, one of the following options:

  • My HealtheVet at
  • VA Auto phone at 614-257-5711
  • Regular mail (mail your refill form to the pharmacy at least two weeks before your supply runs out to allow for processing time.)
